Sins Of The Flesh #1 (by William Merricle)

Sins Of The Flesh #1
our hearts are free
but minuscule
who do you think
we’re fooling
we’re only here for the autopsy
please excuse the hollowness
it’s indisputable
proof the system works

Mericle's poems sound to me like he is in physical distress and possibly has had some life threatening illness. Am I right?

I like this one.. but hard to express why....
But I will have to interject that my heart is very large- too large to fit on a page or in a shoe box... and tends to spill over out of a glass and make a freaking big mess often... Mostly because I expect others hearts to be as big as mine .. and their not. Just sayin'....
So maybe this is were we differ.
