    the gypsy dreams of love

    i see
    but
    two stars
    i said
    to rousseau's
    lion
    though
    there are
    many
    in
    the sky
    when
    i turn
    toward
    you and
    look into
    your eyes
    the stars
    become pale
    because of
    the brilliance
    i see
    there, and
    the night
    brings
    me comfort
    as
    i lay
    on
    my side,
    alone
    holding
    my love
    in
    my arms
    as
    the wind
    cools
    my fevered skin
    as
    the water's sound
    rings
    in
    my thirsty
    ears
